I firstly saw some pictures of this place on Instagram and assumed it was along the Fortis Green strip to East Finchley, as I couldn’t think where it’d be... but the other day I saw it was right in front of me, on my daily lap of Muswell Hill.
Positioned in the little strip with some personal favourites - Fara Kids (addictive), Sainsbury’s (essential), North & Ten (great coffee!), La Dinette (great food and environment), the Everyman (as I daydream about date nights - but also great milkshakes!!) and The Flower Seller (flowers make me happy and make MH feel like a village - please don’t knock it down crazy developer... or be tasteful!)
Anyway. It’s along there (next to Amici Miei)
I strolled in (when I say strolled, I mean jammed my stiff double buggy up the ridge by the door, junting my boys forward and making quite an entrance, as I do in all shops. They then whine about the sudden movement and the massive problem they have with any shop that doesn’t have toys or people who give them their full attention). Luckily for me, the owner was there and she was amazingly welcoming and came and chatted to my troupe. Phew. I had a chance to look around.
This place has a carefully, handpicked range of home goods from across Europe. Vases, furniture, plates, plant pots, candles, chairs, flowers (faux too!), mirrors, soaps and room fragrances... as always, I browsed a little by price and it ranges depending what you fancy. There was a bunch of stuff I deem as affordable and perfect for gifts.
And I love a fragrance... with the soaps and smells produced in the South of France, made with zero bad things and no animal testing.
Pictures below, which say more than words, and I’m pretty sure there is an opening today, between 3-7pm (including nibbles!) so be sure to pop by and say hi.
What a great little strip we’ve got there. I now need a birthday to buy for...
