Super Simple Apple Tart
As requested by a lovely lady called Lou, here is my super simple Apple Tart recipe. Honestly so easy to make and they look the part as a pud!
Ingredients (to make 6):
1 roll shop bought, sweet shortcrust pastry
3 Cox's Apples
Coconut Palm Sugar
You'll also need 6 small tartlet cases.
Firstly get the pastry out and leave at room temperature for a bit. Then roll out and cut circles for your cases.
Lay the pastry in the cases and push against the edges. Trim excess with a knife.
Core and thinly slice the apples and pop in a saucepan with cinnamon, the sugar and water (judge this on preference, adding a little of each at a time) - heat until it becomes a saucy syrup and the apples are soft.
Get a fork and place the apples into the cases, making a swirl shape.
Pour the syrup over the top and sprinkle with the flaked almonds.
Bake at about 180 degrees until the pastry looks nicely browned (about 30 mins or so).
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top :)
