Bear + Wolf Tufnell Park
I used to know a tiny bit about Tufnell Park. My husband and I lived together on Highgate Hill and we'd frequently visit the Lord Palmerstone, for drinks or a Sunday roast, or jump off the bus at Tufnell Park on route home from a night out.
But I haven't been for ages. A very lovely friend of mine has just moved there and suggested we met for coffee at Bear & Wolf. I was keen, after admiring it out of the bus window on my old 134 bus route to Warren Street.
This place is lovely. It's a really cool space, with lots of seating at the back and those great clip on child's seats (I never thought I'd get so excited by a chair).
The food menu is amazing, rolls, open sarnies, waffles, toasties...
I went for an Open-faced sourdough sandwich with salmon, avocado and a poached egg! Yum. And had my usual Cappuccino followed by another Cappuccino.
There is a cute buggy parking area and lots of Ella's Kitchen treats, plus a little persons menu.
And then the best bit (well, for anyone with kids)... out the back is a play area with tons of toys! Bingo. Everyone's happy.
Plus (yes, another plus) it's dog friendly!!! I asked a guy and he said "sure, on a lead, but not in the kids bit".
I'm heading there tomorrow and it has already been shortlisted as a location for me and my friends next outing.
