Knidos

Delicia left Fortis Green road recently and I was intrigued to know who would take their place…

…And here they are. Knidos. A Turkish named café, opened by a Turkish Husband & Wife just 3 days ago.

Knidos sells breakfasts, lunches, ‘little dishes’, coffee and cakes :) ...the menu speckled with Turkish influence, but also some staples for those wanting a traditional fry up or burger.

They are open until 10pm, with an accompanying evening menu and wine list.

Knidos is close to my little dudes nursery, so I popped in before his pick-up, ordering (yep you guessed it) a Cappuccino. Plus a sneaky bit of (delicious) Carrot Cake and later a refreshing homemade lemonade... with a funky straw (my NCT friends will know how excited I get about a straw)!!

The place doesn’t feel much like the old space. They’ve kept the same orientation, but have a ‘café bar’ in the first room and an area, with more of a restaurant feel, around the back.

The atmosphere is pretty chilled, feeling like a step back from the mild bustle of Muswell Hill. Which I enjoyed… mainly as a break from chasing my little crawling piccolo.

The people that work here are lovely - they are all very welcoming and friendly - I had the added pleasure of meeting the super nice Mr & Mrs Knidos :)

I felt very comfortable as I sat, worked and sipped on my daily dose of caffeine... I look forward to an evening meal here with my family trio.
